How to purchase a SeaViewer Underwater Video Camera

"Capturing the great white shark 'in action' is no easy task, and thanks in part to your SeaViewer camera we were able to document this predator as no one has before," wrote Jeff Kurr, Producer/Director, of Flying Shark Productions. Mr. Kurr has been involved in the filming of nearly half of all the Shark Weeks aired to date by DCI. He went on to write .."using the SeaViewer, we were able to obtain high quality footage... one of a kind footage."

Shark expert Dr. Rocky Strong, also with Flying Shark, and a life-long shark researcher was present when much of the filming took place over a 6-week period off the coast of South Africa. He now seems as excited as a child on Christmas morning - "We had hoped for a succesful film expedition, but what we encountered and filmed is nothing short of incredible - a 27 great white shark feeding frenzy, great whites going 'ballistic' like a Poseidon missile breaking the surface of the water - their prey then locked in their bone-crunching jaws. And we've got it all, from deep down in the murky depths, all the way to the above-water shots as they 'splashed-down' back into the water.

DCI has indicated that this particular footage will be the 'centerpiece' of this year's release - hence the name Air Jaws. We even had a great white follow the SeaViewer for miles, and you could almost read its mind as it tried to decide whether this fast-trolling camera was somewhere in its foodchain! After staring into its jaws as the next potential meal, it was a relief that it didn't lunge the final few feet. My expertise is 'shark aggression' and this was the next best thing to having one lying on a therapy couch next to me. We could never have gotten 'in-your-face' footage such as this with any other equipment."
