The embedded 533MHz video encoder processor allows True H.264 Compression for real-time D1 Video Resolution Quality, 704x480 @ 30fps (NTSC) and 704x576 @ 25fps(PAL).

Features Auto-recording, timed-recording, and manual recording. Captures 1-channel audio with AAC(Advanced Audio Compression).

The DVR-SD can be installed in any size SeaViewer Surface Console. The DVR-HDD will only fit in the Large and Super size Surface Consoles. Since either require power and a display, we recommend you select an LCD display and Battery/Charger/HUB with your Surface Console.

Purchasing either model DVR separately (without a Console), or viewing video play back directly from the DVR outside of the console, will require a separate Display which accepts "composite" analog video using the standard RCA-type jack, and also hand-wiring the power leads to an 8-32 Volt DC power source.

Transferred video files can be played back on a PC using the basic video player software we provide or these commonly available players:
- VLC media player
- Storm player
- WINAMP
- mplayerc


Editing the video on a PC can be accomplished with many third-party editing suites using the CODECS listed below (available on Internet):
- ffdshow
- K-Lite Codec Pack (Standard installation)

Note: The NET and the USB ports on the face of the units DVR-HDD & DVR-SD have been disabled for security purpose.
